
Linda grew up in Bakersfield,
California and has "done time" as a social worker and recreational
specialist in South Central L.A., East L.A., Santa Ana, Hollywood
and South Korea.
She
has a chapbook and a CD with jazz,
both titled Watersnake Blues. In addition to her blues poems,
as represented in her CD, Linda is known for her jazz, country, and
environmental poetry. Her work has appeared in several anthologies,
including the environmental poetry anthology, Cracked
Pavement and Plastic Trees: Our Gifts To Future Generations.
Linda Strong formerly hosted a poetry reading, now discontinued, at the
Liquid Den in Huntington Beach, California. She performs regularly in
Los Angeles,
Orange and Ventura counties.
