Empathy
You seemed so considerate, even caring—
Yet you feel nothing when you see me cry.
You don't understand the necessity of empathy
You just put on an act when it suits your needs
The only emotions you can lock into are your own.
There are other words for your lack of empathy:
Like insensitivity and self-centeredness—
I can't believe you feel nothing as you stand and
watch me bleed.
You'd be just as happy fucking a knothole,
so why should I have to act like a whore
and do something when I don't want to
and only you will get satisfied?
Because I'm a woman and you're a man?
I don't understand your lack of empathy
You're so empty
How can life be fulfilling when you never truly
connect with other human beings?
You're so close to your buddies
It's all (get laid) or nothing
So don't tell me you're straight
All that means is the one you want to dominate
is a woman—oh, you're such a man!
You don't think how it feels to be a quantity
If you expect me to act like a prostitute
Then I expect you to pay me—nothing's free
Even if I'm a woman and you are a man.
Now, when they stick your ass in jail
Then you'll know what it's like to be female
Just a convenient hole—
they won't give a fuck how you feel.
Maybe once the "need" for aggressive cavemen
Gave society the idea to discourage empathy
But we don't live in caves
and women own multi-million dollar companies
Hell, with all these nuclear weapons
we don't even need soldiers,
So this attitude is pointless on an evolutionary level.
Think about the kind of men
who take and destroy the things you've worked hard for,
who rape and kill the people you say you care about.
I didn't create them!
You made them
when you gave your little boys army trucks and guns
and you laughed when they picked on little girls
and you put your sons in little uniforms
to compete for their Masculinity.
So don't tell me I'm sick
or decadent
Because I'm not looking for a prince with dirty socks.
I will never be a housewife or a whore
and I don't want anyone who is incapable of empathy.
