Dave McIntire grew up in the suburban wasteland that is L.A.'s west San Fernando Valley. There in the shadow of Spahn Ranch he developed a taste for the strange, the different, the disconcerting. In the course of exploring these he sang in a variety of bands including a Swedish hardcore group and an all-improvisational outfit where he learned to compose spontaneously.

As a vegan and social activist Dave continues to take great pleasure in disturbing others' realities. As a poet he has been published in Aversion, Shattersheet, the Northridge Review and on line in the MAG and Poets Against the War, among others. He has also performed his poetry in a variety of venues including Al's Bar, Bogart's, the Coffee Cartel, Bebop Records, Beyond Baroque, the Anti-Club and others.
